「安保法案審議」の感想を書こうとしましたが、発熱しないように、軽い話題にしました。
I’ve been feeling a *chill since last Saturday, September 12th. The temperature difference has been extreme since then, which maybe the reason I’m still feeling a chill.
Though I was going to write my opinions about “the Discussion of Security Bills in House of Councilors”, I’m writing this topic instead not to run a fever.
*chill [tʃíl]：(n) 寒気、悪寒

答え：I ate two ears of corn.
“corn” (トウモロコシ)は、bread, coffee … のように数えられない名詞です。
“two slices of bread” (2枚のパン)、 “two cups of coffee” (2杯のコーヒー)…のように、「実」や「穂」の意味の、 “ear”で数えます。
また、cornには、「魚の目」の意味もありますので、two corns = 「2個の魚の目」…食べたら身持ちわる～。

英文中、英検2級レベル以上の語彙や表現には、* (星印)で注釈をつけています。
In this blog, Yoshy adds * (asterisk) at the vocabulary and expressions whose level are Eiken 2nd and over, and writes its explanation.
